GREEN NEW DEAL

In the Biden Years (RIP), one of the most outstanding goals - in my opinion - was the Green New Deal, a proposed Bipartisan resolution to reduce inflation, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, clean up the environment, create millions of high-paying jobs, and invest in the health of our country moving forward.
All good things, it seems to me.
It is, therefore, beyond mystifying that the majority of the US populus would ever vote against such principles, much less vilify them. You know, unless Americans were being systematically hoodwinked. Oh wait! That's right...we were!
Why else would Americans vote for this:
And then get this:
"President-elect Donald Trump campaigned relentlessly on grocery prices in the 2024 race, vowing to bring down costs quickly for American families if given four more years in the White House.
But in an interview with Time in conjunction with being named the magazine's "Person of the Year," Trump now says doing that will be a "very hard" task."
Or think that this:

Will lead to this:

The idea of a bunch of billionaires balancing America's budget is like "The Marx Brothers try to use an abacus".
Ridiculous on its face.
The net result, though, is that we ARE getting a Green New Deal. It's just that the "Green" is money, and the "New Deal" is that it's reverse Robinhood-ism. The new Trump administration is preparing to give to the rich and rob from the poor, and it's dubious as to how many of the poor even recognize this yet, because that's just how good he is at baffling them with bullshit.
And that's just how dumbed down America is becoming.
In what other universe would the people of the United States even consider buying a presidential meme bitcoin - and a worthless one at that - manufactured for the sole purpose of enriching the newly elected head of the nation? It's unconscionable. In my opinion.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
Check out GOODS UNITE US, a website listing corporations by category and brand detailing their political affiliation. It continually updates itself so it's worth checking back in periodically (fun fact: Trader Joe's and Costco are 100% Democratic...and also among the cheapest stores in which to buy groceries.).
THE PENNY HOARDER is a great free resource for comparison shopping, ways to save money, debt payoff and a whole host of information, financially related and otherwise.
Shop around for things that seem like fixed costs but maybe are not so much, like cell phone providers. Example: I just switched to Mint Mobile and paid $180.00 total for one year for a $360 savings from 2024. I switched from AT&T to Earthlink and saved $60.00 for the year and the service is better.*
